Outdoor living and fun; not cancelled!

While all across the UK events and gatherings fall victim to sweeping health constraints, and more people start working from home, the British look set to make the most of their own private outdoor living arrangements.

Self-isolation as a family or even solo does not mean staying inside your house if you have an enclosed garden or backyard in your London home. Having calor gas bottles, coal or logs delivered to a London address can still keep you well within safety protocols.

Then, you can make up for the restricted social contact by enjoying relaxing outdoors, fresh air and al fresco dining experiences.

Get your outdoor leisure area top notch

Having to work and use leisure time at home could be the perfect excuse to blitz your garden too. You could do all the Spring chores and build even better facilities for outdoor living. Is it time to finally create your own bbq? Or, to install garden furniture, a chiminea or firepit?

As the evenings get lighter and the temperatures rise, you will then be fully prepared to make the most of leisure time outdoors, playing games, reading or relaxing with your phone under a canopy of stars!

Outdoor heat and cooking safety

A word of caution though, before you pull a rather rusty old gas bbq from your shed or throw some bricks up.

Make sure you follow safety instructions for using outdoor cooking equipment. This includes making sure the structure to hold logs or coals is robust and made of suitable fire retardant materials, and any outdoor gas burning equipment is up to date, well-serviced and safe.

Your new pleasure from having heating and eating options outside will be greatly enhanced by finding a reliable supplier of gases and other flammables, who is happy to advise you on the best ways to use them. Which is, of course, London Gases!

Our best wishes

No one should make light of the current situation but finding uplifting and enjoyable things to do at home is important.

So, from all of us, stay safe, stay healthy and make the most of outdoor living in the comfort of your own home.
